Ripcord Released
It's here, Element57 has released their first full-length album Ripcord. From the ever-climbing title track to the
driving pulse of "Lifeline," the band overflows with energy and still meticulously attends to melody and form. Guitar and saxophone rise and fall
over a waterfall of sound and a pounding groove.
Element57 is what happens when jazz artists get angry. This Portland band drives the listeners to rock hard with a vengeance, yet with intelligence. Perhaps not intelligence, but clever madness, like mad-rock scientists. After playing as a nationally acclaimed band (4th Plane Jaiant), they felt it was time to re-visit their rock roots, turn up the Marshall stack and press record. With big guitar-riffed songs and melodies that you can?t get out of your head, Element57 seems to rock where few are able to follow.
