August 30th, 2008Honey spent a fews days out in Los Angeles taking a break for a tour to co-write a song called "Be My Daddy" last week. Think this its intense?
This is after she finished a tour through Europe with Atlantic Records' artist Laura izibor, seeing her ancestrial Ireland for the first time. In a few weeks she will disapear again, this time to tour with the Brand New Heavies... Did I see a Bermuda show? Take me!
For those of you in the New York area, fret not, she has several upcoming shows in the area, including DROM, Rockwood Music Hall, and the CMJ festival.
August 16th, 2008Ippazzi has a new website up that showcases the new music, as well as introduces the new members of the band.

August 13th, 2008Recently KUFO has rocked "Ripcord" on the local hour. Always nice to get some love from the local radio.
Also, this week on their homepage website they're plugging our Saturday August 16th show at Mt. Tabor as the show of the week. Hot damn! Next week do we get a new car? Be sure to tune into 101.1 KUFO to hear more Element57. Or just buy the music here...
July 20th, 2008Sad Red likes to break things. Like musical molds. So it comes as little surprise they have been invited back to the Heavenly Rock Festival this month in New York City, hosted by Fontana’s. Their dark melodies and innovative rhythmic movements captivated the inebriated audiences of the festival yet again.
Some of the material played is a sneak peak of the upcoming album, set to release in December. Check in to hear updates, and be prepared for a badass production.
May 18th, 2008Greg Petronzi, Ippazzi guitarist and frontman, is now officially endorsing Two Rock Amplifiers, used by many top guitarists including John Mayer. Not only is he hooked up, but they even give him a shoutout on their website. That's certified badass, see it right here.
Here's a sample of what they say: "Greg has recently transitioned from a vintage 1964 Fender Vibroverb to a Two-Rock Jet. Greg says that the Two-Rock Jet combo amp has inspiring tone and plenty of headroom for small to midsize venues in Manhattan. Since owning the Jet, he is amazed at the tone and power that Two-Rock get out of such a compact, lightweight amp. Sounds good Greg, but why doesn't it sound like that when I play through a Two Rock Amp?
May 14th, 2008It's here, Element57 has released their first full-length album Ripcord. From the ever-climbing title track to the driving pulse of "Lifeline," the band overflows with energy and still meticulously attends to melody and form. Guitar and saxophone rise and fall over a waterfall of sound and a pounding groove. Turning to a more angry side from previous work of 4th Plane Jaiant, Ripcord will rock your face off.
Portland rock critic Andre Hagestedt commented, "At the center of the new sound is a giant wall of fuzzy guitar, like some rumbling colossus that comes out of a guitar amp. It's slightly surreal and even a little alien, but always massive and thoroughly setting the band apart from just about everything out there."
May 1st, 2008CR is proud to announce the signing of the following badass artists: Element57, Sad Red, Ippazzi, and Honey Larochelle.
So what is Çöñàr Records? As emerging technologies complicate the rapidly evolving music industry, there are few companies who strive to not just keep up, but set the standard of the future of music. Çöñàr Records (pronounced “sone-yar”) does just that with their atypical business model and their 21st Century marketing techniques. This internet-based label not only markets their artists like a traditional label, but they sell the artists’ music online on their own website. “This combination of the label and the online retail environment permits us to cut out the middle-man,” Çöñar Records founder Frankie Fredericks explains, “and this in turn allows us to overpay our artists while offering downloads at cheaper prices than other online retail outlets.” Beyond being artist and consumer-friendly, what about the music?
Çöñàr Records was built with the upcoming generation’s tastes in mind. Traditionally, a record label was structured around a genre or some geographical region as a means of identity. Looking on the iPods of the modern music consumer, tastes vary from eclectic to downright confusing. The modern label no longer needs to confine themselves stylistically to build an image. Çöñàr Records hosts a collection of diverse artists, from the soul stylings of the funky Honey Larochelle, the ominous melodies of rockers Sadred, and the acoustic ballads of Ippazzi. The one thing you can depend on is that the artists of Çöñàr Records are different than what you will find on your radio, major labels, and even many independents. Don’t believe us? Take a listen and let us know what you think.
